Presidente nacional da ABES, Alceu Guérios Bittencourt, participa de painel sobre fortalecimento do setor de saneamento no Fórum Internacional da Aesbe

Discussão contou com presença do secretário Nacional de Saneamento Ambiental, Leonardo Picciani. O evento, que reuniu especialistas para abordar os novos cenários para as empresas públicas do setor, aconteceu em Brasília, nos dias 3 e 4 de maio, em parceria com a FESPSP e com apoio da ABES.

O presidente nacional da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES, Alceu Guérios Bittencourt, integrou o primeiro painel do Fórum Internacional “Os Novos Cenários Para as Empresas Públicas de Saneamento”. O evento foi realizado pela Associação Brasileira das Empresas Estaduais de Saneamento (Aesbe), em parceria com a Fundação Escola de Sociologia e Política de São Paulo (FESPSP) e com apoio da ABES, no Auditório Mundo Novo do Centro de Convenções e Eventos Brasil 21, em Brasíli/DF.

Alceu foi um dos especialistas do painel “Fortalecimento do Setor de Saneamento rumo à universalização”. O debate contou com moderação de Rafael Castilho, coordenador administrativo do MBA Saneamento Ambiental da FESPSP.

Também integraram a discussão Leonardo Picciani, secretário Nacional de Saneamento Ambiental do Ministério das Cidades; Neuri Freitas, presidente da Aesbe e presidente da Cagece; Francisco dos Santos Lopes, secretário executivo da Assemae; Vinícius Benevides, presidente da Abar; Lizia Andrade, membro do Conselho de Orientação do ONDAS; e Elcires Pimenta Freire, coordenador Técnico do MBA Saneamento Ambiental da FESPSP.

No mesmo dia, o presidente da ABES-SP, Luiz Pladevall, também marcou presença em um painel sobre desafios sociais no setor de Saneamento ao lado da professora Pascale Hoffman, da University College London (UCL). Participaram do debate também Elcires Pimenta, coordenador técnico do MBA em Saneamento Ambiental da FESPSP, e Rafael Castilho, coordenador administrativo do MBA em Saneamento Ambiental da FESPSP, que moderou a discussão.

O objetivo do fórum foi integrar o setor de Saneamento nacional e internacional, de forma que os debates contribuam para a melhoria do Saneamento brasileiro, visando a universalização dos serviços. O evento foi destinado às autoridades governamentais e não governamentais, colaboradores das Companhias Estaduais de Saneamento e estudantes dos MBAs da FESPSP.

Além dos painéis com presença da ABES, foram destaque do evento temas como as experiências internacionais na regulação de serviços de Saneamento; modelo de regionalização adotados pelos estados brasileiros para a prestação dos serviços de Saneamento; a participação privada no setor; e as reflexões sobre os avanços e desafios proporcionados pelo novo marco do Saneamento.

O vice-presidente da ABES, Mário Guerino, e a diretora executiva Alessanda Péres também marcaram presença no evento.
