Na última terça-feira, 29, o presidente nacional da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES, Dante Ragazzi Pauli, ministrou palestra no IV Seminário Internacional da ASEC – Água, seus Usos Múltiplos e Trabalho, promovido pela Associação dos Engenheiros e Especialistas da CETESB e do Meio Ambiente (ASEC), em parceria com ABES. O evento, que foi realizado no auditório Augusto Ruschi da CETESB, é parte das comemorações do Dia Mundial da Água – celebrado em 22 de março.
Antes de começar sua apresentação dentro do Painel “Água e trabalho”, Dante Ragazzi destacou a contínua atuação da ABES, que conta com cerca de 10 mil associados e que, em eus quase cinquenta anos de vida, vem debatendo e propondo iniciativas para a melhoria do saneamento básico no Brasil.
Com o tema “Desafios do Saneamento – Estado da Arte do Saneamento no Brasil: evolução, desafios e perspectivas”, Dante levou ao público presente um panorama do setor Brasil, pontuando as questões de infraestrutura, que, em termos de competitividade, como ressaltou, está muito aquém da real necessidade da população.
Participaram, ainda do evento, o presidente da ABES-SP, Alceu Guérios Bittencourt, que, no primeiro dia, abordou o legado da crise hídrica (leia aqui), e a diretora da ABES-SP e coordenadora das Câmaras Técnicas de Saúde Pública e Resíduos Sólidos, Roseane Maria Garcia Lopes de Souza, com palestra sobre qualidade da água (leia aqui), no último dia do seminário.
