ABES-PR integra International Summer School 2023

A ABES-PR (Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção Paraná) participou nesta terça-feira, 19 de setembro, do International Summer School 2023. O tema desta edição foi “Sustainability in Water and Wastewater Technology”. Selma Cubas, presidente da seção, foi uma das palestrantes e falou sobre economia circular no saneamento.

A participação da Seção Paraná foi transmitida pelo ABES Conecta, no YouTube, em português e alemão, com o objetivo de integrar estudantes dos dois países. A apresentação foi realizada por Karen Amaral, vice-presidente da ABES-PR, coordenadora do Summer School no Brasil e professora da UFPR (Universidade Federal do Paraná).

“É com grande satisfação que faço a abertura deste evento híbrido – International Summer School 2023 Sustainability in Water and Wastewater Technology, fruto de uma cooperação entre a ABES-PR, a UFPR e a Universidade Tecnológica TH Rosenheim (Technische Hochschule Rosenheim)”, afirmou Karen Amaral.

“O evento foi construído com muito esforço de todas as instituições que estão envolvidas, com uma enorme infraestrutura montada, com o apoio da TV UFPR, além de estudantes, professores e servidores, todos engajados para essa transmissão híbrida, que ocorreu diretamente do salão nobre do setor de tecnologia da UFPR”, complementou.

Também participam do projeto a UFRN (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte), a PUC-PR (Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná), além do apoio financeiro do serviço alemão de intercâmbio acadêmico, o DAAD.

O primeiro tema abordado no evento foi “Economia Circular no Saneamento”, trazido pela presente da ABES-PR, Selma Aparecida Cubas, professora da UFPR. Em seguida, a palestrante alemã Dra. Daniela Neuffer, da Technische Hochschule Rosenheim, falou sobre “Efluentes como fonte de energia – possibilidades de recuperação da energia de efluentes”.

O terceiro assunto discutido foi “Co-digestão de lodos e resíduos orgânicos urbanos visando a produção de biogás em digestores de escala plena”. O debate contou com participação de Ana Paula Ojea dos Santos e Dr. Miguel Mansur Aisse, da UFPR, junto a Orlando D. Hernandez e Msc Thiago Marenda, ambos da CS Bioenergia.
