Grandes especialistas nos temas reúso e dessalinização estão reunidos nesta quinta-feira, 23 de março, no Novotel, em Fortaleza, para o 1º Simpósio Nacional sobre Dessalinização e Reúso: Viabilizando Alternativas à Escassez Hídrica. O evento foi promovido pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES na capital cearense, em parceria com a ABES Seção-CE e a Câmara Temática Dessalinização e Reúso da ABES.
O encontro é uma das etapas preparatórias para o Congresso ABES Fenasan 2017, o maior encontro de Saneamento Ambiental das Américas, que será promovido em São Paulo de 2 a 6 de outubro (saiba mais aqui). O evento debateu o uso da dessalinização e do reúso, tanto em custo quanto em aplicações, para que sejam opções viáveis na busca de soluções frente s situações de crise hídrica.
Coordenada por Renato Giani, coordenador da Câmara de Dessalinização e Reúso da ABES, a mesa de abertura foi marcada pela diversidade: grandes especialistas do setor público, nos diversos níveis do Governo do Estado do Ceará e da academia discutiram o tema “Crise Hídrica no Nordeste: passado, presente e futuro”. São eles: Helder dos Santos Cortez, Diretor da Unidade de Negócio do Interior da Companhia de Água e Esgoto do Ceará – CAGECE, que também representou Jesualdo Farias, secretário das Cidades do Governo do Estado do Ceará, que não pode comparecer; Prof. Ronaldo Stefanutti, da Universidade Federal do CEARÁ – UFCE; Artur José Vieira Bruno, secretário do Meio Ambiente do Ceará; e Fuad Moura Braga – Gerente de Programas Internacionais na Assessoria de Projetos Especiais da CAESB e diretor da ABES-DF.
Para Renato Giani, essa diversidade possibilitou um altíssimo nível na discussão. “Houve integração dos diversos setores, sociedade e governo – este em suas diferentes fontes, universidade e inciativa privada. Os participantes conseguiram, de maneira eficiente, criar harmonia na discussão na busca de alternativas viáveis dos pontos de vista técnico e social para a solução do problema da crise hídrica na região. Além disso, tivemos um público participativo e interessado, que interagiu com os convidados”, ressalta.
