O Rio de Janeiro se transformará na capital mundial da água com a realização deste evento internacional inédito no país. Com mais de 100 palestrantes e 60 convidados internacionais, o evento reunirá profissionais, comunidade acadêmica, empresas e organizações mundiais para discutir a água em sua concepção mais ampla, abordando desafios, políticas públicas e soluções e tecnologias existentes no Brasil e no mundo. A RWW contemplará o encontro “Water and Business”, organizado pelo setor privado (CEBDS, Rede Brasil do Pacto Global e CNI) para debater sobre Segurança da Água e Saneamento.
De 26 a 28 de novembro, a ABES – Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental realizará pela primeira vez no Brasil, o mais importante evento sobre água no mundo: a RIO WATER WEEK – Semana da Água do Rio. As inscrições podem ser feitas aqui.
O encontro, que já ocorre em outros países, como Suécia e Cingapura, reunirá, no Riocentro, no Rio de Janeiro, profissionais, comunidade acadêmica, empresas e organizações mundiais para discutir a água em sua concepção mais ampla, abordando desafios, políticas públicas e soluções e tecnologias existentes no Brasil e no mundo.
Serão mais de 100 palestrantes, cerca de 60 deles internacionais, de países como Espanha, França, Estados Unidos, África do Sul e Chile, entre outros, abordando 9 temas, em 23 tópicos e 45 sessões, tendo como fio condutor o Objetivo de Desenvolvimento Sustentável – ODS 6 da ONU – ÁGUA E ESGOTO PARA TODOS ATÉ 2030.
Serão temas do encontro: Água e Esgoto para Todos até 2030; Governança e Planejamento; Gestão Eficiente; Formação e Capacitação; Financiamento; Monitoramento e Relatório do ODS 6; Regulação; Comunicação e Tecnologia da Informação; Mudanças Climáticas e a Água.
Entre os oradores principais do evento estão Dhesigen Naidoo, da Comissão de Pesquisa da Água da África do Sul, Enrique Cabrera, especialista espanhol e membro da IWA – International Water Association, Paula Kehoe, diretora de Recursos Hídricos da San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (Califórnia/EUA), e os brasileiros Jorge Luiz Briard, presidente da Cedae, Karla Bertocco Trindade, presidente da Sabesp, Ricardo Soavinski, presidente da Sanepar, Rogério de Paula Tavares, vice-presidente de Relações Institucionais da Aegea, Roberto Cavalcanti Tavares, presidente da Compesa e da AESBE (Associação Brasileira das Empresas de Saneamento Básico Estaduais), e Paulo Massato, diretor metropolitano da Sabesp.
Com expectativa de reunir no Riocentro cerca de 1.500 mil pessoas nas sessões temáticas, a Rio Water Week fará história, inserindo o Brasil nas discussões sobre água mais importantes do planeta.
“O desafio maior é o de ir além das fronteiras do nosso Brasil e de interessar e trazer para discutir a universalização os nossos grandes parceiros internacionais”, ressalta o presidente da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza.
“Estamos adaptando para a nossa RIO WATER WEEK alguns aspectos que julgamos positivos na organização e planejamento do Fórum Mundial da Água e das Semanas da Água que nos precederam. Entre eles, destacaria uma participação muito relevante das organizações parceiras – quase uma centena – que efetivamente coordenarão as 65 sessões da RIO WATER WEEK, trazendo com elas uma larga experiência nos quatro quadrantes do planeta”, frisa o vice-presidente nacional da ABES, Carlos Alberto Rosito, idealizador e embaixador do evento.

No âmbito da RWW, será realizado no dia 27 de novembro, das 9h45 às 18h, o evento Water and Business – Água e Negócios, desenvolvido pelo Conselho Empresarial Brasileiro para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável (CEBDS), pela Rede Brasil do Pacto Global e pela Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI).
Idealizado com o objetivo de ser uma contribuição do setor privado para a Semana da Água no Rio, o evento trará a visão de negócios associada a dois principais temas: Segurança da Água e Saneamento, que serão abordados em quatro painéis.
O Water and Business reunirá painelistas de alto nível que incluirão organizações empresariais e da sociedade civil nacionais e internacionais. Os painéis contarão com representantes de entidades como a Agência Nacional de Águas e Abcon/Sindcon, e empresas como Ambev, Coca Cola, Nestlé, ECOLAB, Aegea, Braskem e BRK.
