Nesta sexta, 16 de agosto, o II Seminário Aberto MBA Saneamento Ambiental teve como palestrante o presidente da Sabesp, Benedito Braga, que abordou o tema “O Novo Rio Pinheiros – Despoluição da Bacia e Qualidade de Vida na RMSP”. A palestra foi ministrada para alunos da segunda turma do curso, entre eles 60 profissionais da Sabesp. Este MBA é fruto da parceria entre a FESPSP – Fundação Escola de Sociologia e Política de São Paulo, por meio do seu Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas Socioambientais e Núcleo de Pesquisa em Ciências Sociais, e a Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES/UNIABES. O evento aconteceu no auditório da faculdade, na capital paulista.
Integraram a mesa de abertura o vice-presidente da ABES-SP, Luiz Roberto Gravina Pladevall, o coordenador da Câmara Temática da ABES de Comunicação no Saneamento, Dante Ragazzi Pauli, o diretor de programas da LSE Enterprise e coordenador geral do MBA PPP e Concessões, Carlos Alexandre Nascimento, o superintendente de Recursos Humanos da Sabesp, Nilton João dos Santos, e Manuelito Pereira Magalhães.
Em sua explanação, Benedito Braga, destacou alguns números da Sabesp em relação ao tema despoluição. “A nossa companhia já investiu quase 3 bilhões de dólares para limpeza tanto do rio Tietê quanto do Pinheiros”, afirmou. Segundo ele, muita gente diz que se gastou muito dinheiro, mas não houve melhorias. “Claro que teve muito resultado”, enfatizou. “Saímos de 24% de tratamento para 76%. Saímos de 50% de coleta para 90%. Houve um grande caminho e agora o desafio é fazer essas obras que estavam previstas no projeto Tietê, de uma forma mais rápida, no rio Pinheiros”, informou o especialista. “Não estamos criando um projeto novo, só estamos mudando a forma como executar as obras previstas, já de longa data, no projeto Tietê, através da intensificação e aceleração de ações operacionais”, complementou.
Braga mencionou que mais cedo, na mesma sexta-feira, havia sido apresentado no Palácio dos Bandeirantes, o pacote de 14 licitações na modalidade de performance para a despoluição do Pinheiros. De acordo com ele, a empresa irá investir R$ 1,5 bilhão para sanear e despoluir a bacia do rio.

Capacitação
Luiz Roberto Gravina Pladevall, professor do MBA Saneamento Ambiental, e também presidente da Apecs – Associação Paulista de Empresas de Consultoria e Serviços em Saneamento e Meio Ambiente, reforçou para o público presente e virtual que a ABES desde o início sempre apoiou ações de capacitação. “Eu e o Dante Ragazzi ajudamos o professor Paulo Ferreira a montar um curso de Pós-Graduação no Mackenzie, entre 2012 e 2013. Tivemos duas ou três turmas e com a crise o curso acabou”, lembrou. “O MBA da FESPSP tem um diferencial por ser EAD [ensino a distancia] facilita para o aluno”, destacou Pladevall.
O engenheiro ressaltou que o déficit alto em água e esgoto e a operação precisam ser melhoradas no Brasil. “O conteúdo do curso abrange todas as linhas do saneamento e dá uma grande formação de gestão. Precisamos de melhoria na gestão do saneamento do nosso país”, afirmou. O vice-presidente da ABES-SP ainda tocou na questão do Marco Regulatório do Saneamento Básico. “Tivemos notícia que o Governo irá mandar outra Medida Provisória. O tema está em voga e temos que aproveitar as oportunidades que aparecerem”, finalizou.
Networking
Dante Ragazzi Pauli também integra o corpo docente do MBA Saneamento Ambiental. Em sua fala, o engenheiro destacou a importância do networking que o curso possibilita. E contou sua experiência profissional, neste quesito. “Estou aqui claro que pela Sabesp, mas muito mais por causa da ABES. Sou sócio desde que entrei na empresa. A associação tem mais de 50 anos de vida e sempre lutou pelo saneamento. A ABES nos dá tanto espaço, que hoje faço parte do Conselho Mundial da Água”, disse. “São coisas que acontecem na nossa vida que a gente não espera e por um encadeamento que vem por rede”, frisou e lembrou que sempre reforça o convite para que as pessoas da Sabesp participem de outras associações. “Isso é rede de conhecimento, de amizade”.
Em relação ao saneamento, Dante foi enfático ao dizer que o setor precisa mudar. “A situação atual é péssima. O país quase não investe em infraestrutura. É menos de 2% do PIB e o saneamento não tem nem 10% disso”, pontuou. “Que nós do setor tenhamos a sabedoria de procurar o melhor caminho”, concluiu.
Ao final da palestra de Benedito Braga, foi formada uma mesa para debate que contou com a participação de Elcires Pimenta Freire, coordenador de projetos e coordenador técnico do MBA Saneamento e do professor Antonio Eduardo Giansante, além de Dante Ragazzi, e Luiz Pladevall.
