O Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento (JPS) da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES marcou presença na Brazil Water Week – Semana da Água do Brasil, Nesta edição do mais importante evento internacional sobre água e saneamento do país, foram realizadas duas Oficinas de Educação Ambiental sobre o ODS 6 – Água e Esgoto.
Os encontros foram transmitidos pelo canal da ABES no YouTube e tiveram como palestrantes Nadine Vergara Schorr, membro do JPS-Seção Rio Grande do Sul (JPS-RS), e Larissa Rebouças, membro do JPS Seção Paraíba (JPS-PB).
Água
Na ocasião da primeira oficina, Nadine Vergara Schorr falou sobre o tema ODS6 Água e Saneamento para todos, que integra os Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Organização das Nações Unidas da ONU. O ODS 6 visa garantir disponibilidade e manejo sustentável da água e saneamento com qualidade para todos até 2030.
A palestrante explicou as metas da ODS, que abordam restauração e proteção do ecossistema, implementação da gestão integrada dos recursos hídricos. Discorreu sobre ciclo, uso, distribuição e abastecimento de água, saneamento, mecanismo de transmissão de doenças por agentes biológicos patogênicos e insuficiência de água, relação do saneamento com a saúde e o desenvolvimento humano.
Por sua vez, Larissa Rebouças abordou gestão, monitoramento, tratamento e padrão de qualidade de água, segundo a Portaria 888/2021, crise hídrica e educação ambiental, entre outros. A convidada apresentou um vídeo disponibilizado pela coordenadora do JPS-SP, Maria Fernanda Bentubo, realizado em parceria com a Companhia de Saneamento do Estado de São Paulo (Sabesp), que mostra a captação de água até o seu tratamento final. Esgoto
A segunda oficina aconteceu no dia 26 de maio. Nadine Vergara Schorr falou sobre a situação atual do Brasil com relação ao sistema de esgotamento sanitário, esgoto coletado e tratado e metas até 2030. Entre as metas apresentadas, estão o aumento da cooperação internacional aos países em desenvolvimento e o apoio e fortalecimento às comunidades para o acesso à coleta e tratamento de esgoto.
Nadine apresentou o estudo “Atlas Esgoto”, publicado pela Agência Nacional de Águas e Saneamento Básico (ANA), que aponta que 9,1 toneladas de esgotos são geradas por dia, 53% dos brasileiros têm acesso à coleta de esgoto, 43% coletado e tratado, 12% solução individual, 18% coletado e não tratado e 27% não coletado e nem tratado. Além do estudo, Nadine mostrou um comparativo do Brasil com outros países sobre o tema e um vídeo com uma visita técnica numa estação de tratamento de efluentes, localizada na cidade de Santos/SP.
A Larissa Rebouças apresentou métodos de tratamento e destinação incorreta do esgoto e soluções para promover melhorias nestas questões, entre elas as, a educação ambiental, união da sociedade com gestores públicos, ações coletivas, movimentos sociais e debates.No final do encontro online, as convidadas esclareceram as dúvidas do público online.
