A ABES-SP promoveu na sexta-feira, 15, último dia da Pollutec Brasil, no Anhembi, em São Paulo, o pré-lançamento da campanha DIADESOL Edição 2016, que conscientiza estudantes, educadores e pais sobre as questões relacionadas aos resíduos sólidos. O evento contou com as presenças do presidente da Associação Interamericana de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – AIDIS, Luiz Augusto de Lima Pontes, do diretor da Divisão de Resíduos Sólidos e membro da ABES-RS, Darci Campani, da diretora da Divisão de Ambientes Saudáveis da AIDIS, Haydée Aguadé, de Célia Castelló, gerente de Projetos, do tesoureiro da AIDIS, Paulo Robinson da Silva Samuel, da diretora da ABES-SP e coordenadora das Câmaras Técnicas de Saúde Pública e Resíduos Sólidos, Roseane Maria Garcia Lopes de Souza, de Ricardo Ribeiro, responsável pela área institucional da ABES-SP, e Cristiana Rabusin , coordenadora da Pollutec no Brasil.
O DIADESOL ou Dia Interamericano de Limpeza e Cidadania, cuja expressão é de origem espanhola (Dia de los Desechos Sólidos), foi idealizado com objetivo de desenvolver atividades que despertem a consciência das populações da América Latina sobre as questões relativas aos resíduos sólidos. É uma iniciativa internacional promovida por instituições como a Associação Interamericana de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental (AIDIS) e a Organização Pan-Americana de Saúde (OPAS)/Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS). No Brasil, a campanha é promovida pela ABES, por meio das seções São Paulo e Rio Grande do Sul. No evento na Pollutec, os participantes ressaltaram a relevância que a campanha vem ganhando a cada ano, alcançando cada vez mais crianças, jovens, educadores e familiares.
“A AIDIS, em 2002, criou os três dias – da água, do ar e dos resíduos sólidos – e em todos os países a gente tem se movimentado para que esses dias sejam comemorados. Temos tido apoio de várias instituições internacionais e temos muito prazer em verificar que,a nível de Brasil, a ABES, especialmente a ABES-SP e a ABES-RS, têm tido uma dedicação especial ao Diadesol. Esses resultados nos dão muita satisfação”, ressaltou o presidente da AIDIS, Luiz Augusto de Lima Pontes.
Para Haydée Aguadé, o Diadesol, que se comemora em todo terceiro sábado de setembro,tem sido uma experiência exitosa com o trabalho da ABES. “Este empenho está sendo muito importante como um exemplo de envolvimento das crianças e adolescentes com as questões de resíduos sólidos. E este encontro na Pollutec, envolvendo a diretoria da ABES e da AIDIS, foi muito oportuno.”
A coordenadora da Pollutec no Brasil, Cristiana Rabusin, agradeceu pela escolha da feira para o pré-lançamento. “Teremos sempre um espaço para a campanha nas próximas edições. Esta é uma feira multissetorial – de água, de resíduos, da qualidade do ar. Para nós não há fronteiras entre as problemáticas. O sucesso desse evento é a complementaridade de temas, de áreas. Esta parceria com a ABES foi um elemento fundamental para isso. E também queremos, com a AIDIS, trazer muito mais visitantes da América Latina.”
Darci Campani lembrou aos presentes uma das grandes realizações do DIADESOL: a Cartilha da Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos para crianças. “A campanha vem crescendo ano a ano e tem atraído a atenção do público e das escolas. Distribuímos a Cartilha no Rio Grande do Sul, com o apoio da Braskem.”
Este será o 11º ano do DIADESOL no Brasil, uma campanha bem sucedida, como ressaltou Roseane Garcia. “São muitas conquistas. Além da participação cada vez maior de crianças e adolescentes nos concursos de desenho infantil e vídeo amador, criamos materiais que foram disponibilizados para que os educadores deem continuidade à campanha em sala de aula, como a Cartilha da PRNS para crianças e audiovisuais.”
