Congresso da ABES: Prof. Arlindo Philippi Jr. lançará 3 livros sobre meio ambiente e sustentabilidade

O especialista integrará painéis do evento. Lançamentos acontecerão no formato presencial em 19 de outubro, terça-feira, às 18h15.

O professor Arlindo Philippi Jr., do Institito de Estudos Avançados da Faculdade de Saúde Pública da Universidade de São Paulo – USP, que integrará painéis do 31º Congresso da ABES, lançará á três livros sobre meio ambiente e sustentabilidade durante o evento. O congresso acontecerá de 17 a 20 de outubro em formato híbrido: presencial, em Curitiba/PR, e também online, em plataforma digital. Os lançamentos acontecerão no dia 19 (terça-feira), das 18h15 às 18h45, na Sala 1 da Plenária.

Serão lançadas as obras: “Novos olhares sobre o ambiente urbano com foco na sustentabilidade” (FSP/USP);
“Sustentabilidade no Agronegócio” (Editora Manole); e “Impacto das ciências ambientais na Agenda 2030” (IEA/USP). 

O professor será moderardor da 4ª Sessão Especial rumo ao Congresso da ABES sobre cidades inteligentes e sustentáveis, que acontece nesta quarta, das 14h às 17h. Assista aqui



Reconhecimento

O professor Arlindo Philippi Jr. foi reconhecido com personalidade de destaque na atuação ambiental em Santa Catarina no Prêmio Raulino Reitz de Conservação da Natureza – edição 2021, concedido pelo Instituto do Meio Ambiente do Estado de Santa Catarina (IMA), no âmbito do 22º Prêmio Fritz Müller.

Arlindo Philippi Jr é engenheiro civil (UFSC), sanitarista e de Segurança do Trabalho (USP); mestre em Saúde Ambiental e doutor em Saúde Pública (USP). Pós-doutorado em Estudos Urbanos e Regionais (MIT- EUA). Livre-Docente em Política e Gestão Ambiental (USP). Foi membro Titular do Conselho Técnico Científico do Ensino Superior na Capes, membro Titular do Conselho Superior, coordenador da Área Interdisciplinar e da Área de Ciências Ambientais, bem como, diretor de Avaliação.

Também foi finalista do Prêmio Jabuti em 6 edições, sendo agraciado com três prêmios, com obras publicadas pela Editora Manole; exerceu funções de direção na Cetesb, no Ibama e na Secretaria do Verde e Meio Ambiente da Cidade de São Paulo. Atuou na Coordenação do Programa de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico do Ministério da Ciência e Tecnologia e foi membro do Conselho do Painel Brasileiro de Mudanças Climáticas.

É professor titular do Departamento de Saúde Ambiental, presidente da Comissão de Pós-Graduação da Faculdade de Saúde Pública, pró-reitor e adjunto de Pós-Graduação e prefeito da USP (Campus Capital). É Membro do Conselho de Orientação do Núcleo de Apoio à Pesquisa em Mudanças Climáticas da USP (INCLINE) e atua na coordenação do Centro de Síntese USP Cidades Globais do Instituto de Estudos Avançados da USP.
