ABES-SC prepara-se para receber o XVII Silubesa, de 6 a 8 de junho: “momento é crucial para discutirmos saneamento e saúde”, afirma presidente

Na reta final dos preparativos para o XVII Silubesa –  Simpósio Luso-Brasileiro de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental, que ocorrerá de 06 a 08 de junho, em Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, a ABES-SC, que organiza o encontro juntamente com a Diretoria Nacional da ABES e as entidades parceiras Associação Portuguesa dos Recursos Hídricos – APRH e a Associação Portuguesa de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – APESB, vê o momento como essencial para as discussões envolvendo saneamento e saúde.

Com o tema “Soluções para um melhor saneamento ambiental”, esta edição pretende avançar nas questões do setor focando, como em suas edições anteriores, o diálogo propositivo e a troca de experiências entre os dois países.

 “A existência de saneamento básico adequado é a base para uma população saudável e o controle da proliferação de diversas doenças. É preciso que a sociedade fique atenta e cobre mais ações dos governantes. Podemos citar como exemplo, os problemas recentes com as doenças transmitidas pelo mosquito da dengue. Infelizmente os problemas que o Brasil enfrenta com a proliferação do aedes Aegypti tem como grande causador a falta de investimentos, planejamento, e educação ambiental”, afirma a presidente da Seção, Fernanda Vanhoni Biz.

Ela ressalta ainda o amplo debate propositivo, que abordará diversos temas do setor. “O Silubesa trará discussões importantes sobre todos os aspectos do saneamento: água, esgoto, drenagem e resíduos, assim como apresentará modelos de solução e inovação. “

Fernanda destaca o painel sobre resíduos sólidos, “que apresentará alguns projetos inovadores e propícios para adoção em municípios de todos os portes.”

Do ponto de vista da organização, as expectativas são as melhores. “Já contamos com a confirmação de profissionais renomados de todas as regiões do pais e as inscrições estão a todo vapor. Será um marco para o setor e uma oportunidade única para a troca de experiências e conhecimento”, frisa a presidente da ABES-SC. Fernanda informa que também apoiam a organização desta edição do Silubesa instituições de peso como o CONFEA e CREA/SC.
