ABES-RS: CT Resíduos Sólidos promove a VII edição do Projeto Harmonia Consciente

O evento integra as atividades comemorativas do Dia Interamericano de Limpeza e Cidadania – DIADESOL 2016.

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção Rio Grande do Sul (ABES-RS), por meio da Câmara Técnica de Resíduos Sólidos, realizará, entre os dias 1º e 17 de setembro, a sétima edição do Projeto Harmonia Consciente. O evento, que integra as atividades comemorativas do Dia Interamericano de Limpeza e Cidadania – DIADESOL 2016, tem a parceria com o Departamento Municipal de Limpeza Urbana, do Movimento Tradicionalista Gaúcho, da UniRitter e do IFRS e apoio da Braskem e Sinplast/Sustenplast.

O objetivo do projeto é promover a responsabilidade de piquetes, organizadores e frequentadores do Acampamento Farroupilha com os resíduos gerados. Durante o período, o Parque Harmonia se transforma num grande acampamento, reunindo em torno de 400 piquetes (grupos organizados de tradicionalistas), casas de patrocinadores, praça de alimentação e praça de comércio de artigos típicos e atrai mais de 1 milhão de visitantes a cada edição.

Sob a coordenação da ABES-RS, cerca de 19 universitários percorrerão os piquetes, estimulando a adesão à coleta seletiva, a manutenção da limpeza e organização nos piquetes, e a promoção de atividades educativas. Num segundo momento, os universitários farão uma auditoria e indicarão os piquetes que receberão a placa “Distinção em cuidados com resíduos sólidos” da ABES/RS.

Em 2015, a ação resultou no encaminhamento de 6.900 toneladas de resíduos recicláveis para as cooperativas de catadores de Porto Alegre, além de direcionar 510L de óleo de cozinha para empresas de reaproveitamento.
