ABES e Abrecon firmam parceria para monitorar e identificar aterros clandestinos de lixo e entulho no Brasil

Assinatura aconteceu durante o Encontro Nacional das Usinas de Reciclagem de RCD, realizado em 30 de março, em São Paulo. A apresentação da iniciativa foi feita por Delaine Romano, coordenadora adjunta da Câmara de Resíduos da ABES-SP.

Na última quinta-feira, 30 de março, a Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES, por meio da sua Câmara Temática de Resíduos Sólidos, marcou presença no Encontro Nacional das Usinas de Reciclagem de RCD, promovido pela Associação Brasileira para Reciclagem de Resíduos da Construção Civil e Demolição – Abrecon).

Na ocasião, as duas entidades firmaram uma parceria com o objetivo de monitorar o identificar os aterros clandestinos de lixo e entulho no Brasil. Os dados, resultados da iniciativa, servirão para entender melhor os crimes ambientais e aperfeiçoar políticas de combate e prevenção ao descarte irregular de resíduos.

Representando a ABES, Delaine Romano, coordenadora adjunta da Câmara Técnica de Resíduos Sólidos da Seção São Paulo, apresentou a parceria no evento, ao lado do presidente da Abrecon, Hewerton Bartoli, e do coordenador da entidade, Levi Torres.

“Foi bastante interessante, porque o evento e os temas eram muito técnicos”, conta Delaine. “Nós levamos uma informação que deu um break, um intervalo mais light no Encontro”. Segundo ela, o mapeamento lixões será realizado por meio da plataforma da Abrecon. “Eles possuem um sistema de georreferenciamento e nós vamos usar as informações que temos da ABES para inseri-las na plataforma da Abrecon. É um trabalho conjunto das duas equipes técnicas para que nos mostre onde estão os lixões no Brasil”, explica a especialista e destaca a importância da iniciativa. “Alguns lixões que estão sendo fechados e até outros que ainda estão ativos estão virando locais de deposição incorreta de resíduos da construção civil. Então, é importante também mapear isso para não acontecer de fechar o lixão e virar um ponto de deposição e descarte incorreto de resíduos da construção”, reforça.

“Esta vai ser uma parceria exitosa, já que as duas equipes são bastante integradas aos temas. A ABES vai tratar do mapeamento e a Abrecon vai tratar de inserir e usar essa plataforma de georreferenciamento”, reitera Delaine Romano.

Ela destaca ainda que a ABES já iniciou esses trabalhos e a recepção dessa proposta no Encontro Nacional foi bastante positiva. “Conversei com algumas pessoas e na verdade nenhum desses profissionais que trabalham com resíduos da construção civil tem interesse em pontos irregulares e ilegais de descarte do material. Acredito que vai ser bastante positivo e todo mundo tem interesse que se faça a deposição, o descarte correto do material de construção e demolição e que sejam extintos esses pontos viciados e ilegais”, conclui. 

O encontro reuniu destinatários de resíduos da construção para discutir os desafios, encontrar soluções  e melhorias para o segmento da reciclagem de entulho no Brasil.

Os temas abordados no encontro estimularam as usinas de reciclagem de entulho a entenderem o mercado da construção,  apresentar soluções para atender a demanda do segmento da construção e dos órgãos públicos.
