O presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza, foi um dos palestrantes do “Fórum Concessões em Saneamento: Investimentos, Nova Modelagem e Riscos”, realizado na última sexta-feira, 31 de março, no Hotel Meliá Jardim Europa, em São Paulo.
O encontro reuniu representantes do poder público, empresas públicas e privadas, investidores, advogados, entidades de saneamento e meio ambiente e agências reguladoras, entre outros, para discutir a nova modelagem de Concessões e PPP’s.
Roberval abordou o tema “As oportunidades de parcerias e investimentos para o saneamento ambiental no Brasil”. Em sua palestra, o engenheiro também chamou a atenção para a discussão público/privado, que tem concentrado as discussões no saneamento. “Temos que deixar de lado essa panaceia de querer que no nosso setor seja tudo público ou tudo privado. O setor precisa da união do público e do privado para que possa tirar os lamentáveis números de saneamento do nossos país do anonimato e poder assim melhorar a qualidade de vida do povo brasileiro. Não existe um caminho só: ser público ou privado. Existe o equilíbrio entre esses dois tipos de contratação para que possamos reverter o quadro horrível do nosso país.’
