Após sua participação no curso, ministrado pelo professor Marcos Vianna, diretor de gestão na Bloom Consultoria, Éverton Luiz Petronilho, de 27 anos, líder de Estação de Água/Efluente Industrial em Itaúna/MG, resolveu pôr em prática as explicações do especialista na ETA de 30 m³/h da empresa onde trabalha.
“Um excelente curso, voltado exclusivamente para projetos de estações, explicando cada etapa do processo, desde a captação até seu destino final que são os reservatórios. Curso bem explicativo, apesar de ser voltado para projetos, todos os participantes (operadores, representantes, supervisores e projetistas) entenderam perfeitamente o funcionamento de uma estação”, elogia Éverton, que é graduando do curso de Tecnólogo em Saneamento Ambiental.
Para explicar o processo, Éverton destaca um trecho do livro “Hidráulica Aplicada às Estações de Tratamento de Água”, do Professor Marcos Rocha Vianna. “Como está explicado em seu livro, ‘o ressalto na calha Parshall precisa ser provocado, fazendo-se tentativas, aumentando-se a lâmina d’água no canal de jusante através de um artifício qualquer, utilizando, por exemplo, stop-logs, afogados ou não”, explica ele. O ressalto provoca uma distorção de energia relativamente grande. “Este fato, aliado ao estreitamento da garganta do medidor e à pequena lâmina d’água na garganta, torna relativamente homogênea a aplicação do coagulante na massa líquida, permitindo que a mistura rápida seja efetuada de forma bastante próxima à ideal, do ponto de vista das condições que devem prevalecer nessa fase de tratamento’, cita.
“O que acontecia em nossa estação era que dosávamos o floculante, porém não obtínhamos resultados satisfatórios. Para que ocorresse uma boa floculação, precisávamos dosar uma grande quantidade de floculante, porém estava ficando inviável o tratamento (falando financeiramente)”, conta Éverton. “Com a aplicação do ressalto, diminuímos o consumo de floculante e melhoramos a floculação, (como pode ser visto nas fotos abaixo). Um resultado impressionante, que com um insignificante custo (um pedaço de madeira que estava empilhado na estação e serviu de stop-log) consegui reduzir o consumo de floculante e melhorar a turbidez da água tratada. Água que é utilizada no processo de limpeza dos tecidos”, detalha.
Segundo Éverton, o município de Itaúna está localizado a aproximadamente 80 km da capital mineira e ainda não conta com uma Estação de Tratamento de Esgoto. “Como a empresa fica no final da cidade, recebemos todo o esgoto, o que dificulta ainda mais o tratamento da água”, ressalta. “Apesar de ser esgoto, conseguimos tratar uma água de excelente qualidade para fins industriais”, completa.
