A Câmara Técnica de Saneamento e Saúde em Comunidades Isoladas da ABES-SP, promoveu, nesta terça-feira, dia 28, a palestra ‘Avaliação Ambiental em Propriedades Rurais: Bairro Carmo Messias – Ibiúna‘. O encontro contou com apresentações de Lidia A. S. Fernandez, geóloga, pela Universidade de São Paulo, responsável técnica do projeto em Ibiúna e diretora da ASA – Assessoria e Serviços Ambientais Ltda., e Ricardo P. G. Rosario, biólogo e advogado, pela Universidade Mackenzie.
A ação em Ibiúna foi idealizada pela SOS Itupararanga. Em parceria com um laboratório, a ONG coletou e analisou a água utilizada pela comunidade e implantou bases para o levantamento topográfico, georreferenciamento dos córregos, confecção de base cartográfica, mapeamento do uso do solo de cada propriedade nos bairros Carmo Messias e Pires, inseridos na microbacia do Rio Sorocamirim, um dos formadores da Represa Itupararanga.
O objetivo do processo foi monitorar a água, verificar a posição de poços e fossas para garantir sua qualidade e para uma boa capacidade de infiltração dos esgotos no terreno dentro dos limites de cada propriedade. As coletas foram acompanhadas pelos moradores que conheceram os procedimentos adotados e a necessidade de algumas alterações para melhorias.
As ações corretivas propostas foram: ajuste da cloração, filtração e fervura da água antes do consumo e, em relação à destinação do esgoto, a ONG implantou biodigestores nessas propriedades em 2017. O projeto também gerou material educativo, como gibis e cartilhas para os professores e escolas da região. A iniciativa teve apoio do Comitê da Bacia Hidrográfica Sorocaba-Médio Tietê e foi financiada pelo FEHIDRO (Fundo Estadual de Recursos Hídricos).
A geóloga explicou que o projeto reuniu financiamento, conhecimento técnico e a necessidade da sociedade. “Surgiu de uma necessidade da sociedade e nós, com o conhecimento técnico, conseguimos o financiamento com dinheiro destinado a uma área carente de projetos para aplicar em beneficio da comunidade, principalmente na zona rural de Ibiúna. O evento foi importante para divulgarmos, trocarmos conhecimento e instigarmos as pessoas a pensarem em novas demandas e projetos. Precisamos reunir conhecimento e capital”.
Ricardo Rosário também falou sobre a importância de atender às comunidades remotas para terem acesso à qualidade da água e condições saudáveis de vida. “É importante participarmos desse evento para não ficarmos restritos àquela comunidade e região. É difícil impactar redes maiores envolvidas no tema. A ABES é um canal super importante para divulgarmos o projeto e aumentarmos a quantidades desses casos.”
Ana Lucia Brasil, engenheira sanitarista e coordenadora da Câmara Técnica de Saneamento e Saúde em Comunidades Isoladas, finalizou a palestra falando sobre a importância da troca de experiência e para ver o que está sendo feito nas áreas rurais: “No meio rural é difícil encontrar um projeto como esse.
