32º Congresso da ABES: Copasa, empresa anfitriã do evento, sinaliza boas projeções para esta edição em BH

Guilherme Augusto Duarte de Faria, presidente da Companhia, considera que o evento representa grandes oportunidades para que os mais de cinco mil participantes esperados acessem de forma mais rápida, concentrada e organizada diferentes tecnologias e inovações e façam a troca de novos conhecimentos e experiências, que vão contribuir para a evolução do setor de saneamento.

A volta totalmente presencial do 32º Congresso Brasileiro de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental (CBESA) – o Congresso da ABES e da Fitabes 2023 – Feira Internacional de Tecnologias de Saneamento Ambiental estão sendo aguardados com muita satisfação pela empresa anfitriã do evento: a Copasa – Companhia de Saneamento de Minas Gerais, que desde 1963 fornece água potável e serviços de esgotamento sanitário para a população mineira. Realizado pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES, o evento acontecerá entre os dias 21 e 24 de maio de 2023, em Belo Horizonte/MG, e traz como tema central: “Saneamento ambiental: desafios para a universalização e a sustentabilidade”.

Para Guilherme Augusto Duarte de Faria, presidente da Copasa, a expectativa em recepcionar o Congresso da ABES, considerado o mais importante evento de saneamento e meio ambiente do Brasil, num período pós-pandemia, é de receber mais de cinco mil pessoas em BH, esperando promover uma das mais bem-sucedidas edições do evento nos últimos anos no país. “Estamos muito confiantes com a volta presencial do Congresso em Belo Horizonte. Para nós, da Copasa, é uma grande satisfação sediar e apoiar este evento tão importante para o setor de saneamento”, declara.

O presidente da Companhia destaca que as mais recentes mudanças no setor de saneamento, especialmente pelo movimento em prol da universalização, trás a necessidade de celeridade de respostas por parte das empresas de saneamento para atingir as metas colocadas para o setor. “Neste sentido temos enorme expectativa em relação ao evento porque não apenas o congresso, mas também a feira representam grandes oportunidades para que as empresas, dentre elas a Copasa, acessem de forma mais rápida, concentrada e organizada diferentes tecnologias e inovações, e façam a troca de novos conhecimentos e experiências que vão contribuir para a evolução do setor”, menciona.

De acordo com Guilherme Faria, o evento vai contribuir para que as empresas de saneamento lancem mãos de alternativas diferentes do modo tradicional de se fazer as atividades, visando alcançar as metas estipuladas para 2033. “O prazo está chegando muito rápido e as companhias têm um desafio enorme pela frente, portanto, nossas expectativas com os resultados do Congresso em BH são muito positivas. Esperamos que esta edição nos coloque na vanguarda da tomada de iniciativas frente à inovação e em contato com novos conhecimentos para que as metas do novo marco possam ser alcançadas”, pontua.

Para contribuir com a geração e transmissão de conhecimento que o Congresso e a exposição se propõem, Faria informa que a participação da Copasa, como empresa anfitriã, prevê a presença de 50 a 100 pessoas do corpo técnico da companhia. “Em nosso estande vamos apresentar todo o know-how da Copasa como uma empresa moderna e que possui níveis muito elevados de governança, pautada em inovação e que promove boas práticas na construção e avanços das obras, bem como nas operações do dia a dia. Vamos levar um pouco das boas práticas que a Copasa desenvolve no mercado e que, com certeza, a torna uma das empresas de referência no setor, atualmente”, destaca.

Sintonia com os objetivos do congresso

Além disso, o executivo observa que a Copasa valoriza a produção de conhecimentos e incentiva a inovação dentro da companhia, assim, as atividades desenvolvidas durante o Congresso da ABES são excelentes oportunidades para o aprimoramento profissional dos seus colaboradores.  “Eles são incentivados a produzirem cases de inovação dos nossos processos e da forma pela qual atuamos. Dessa forma, levá-los a um evento como este permite que transmitamos as nossas iniciativas de sucesso e possibilitam que nossos colaboradores também interajam em um ambiente que agregue mais conhecimento ao trabalho deles e da Companhia. No cenário atual do saneamento, Guilherme Faria observa que embora a Copasa ainda que seja uma empresa estatal, submetida à lei de licitações e de algumas legislações específicas para contratação de obras, a empresa detém um conhecimento muito valioso na operação de seus sistemas, sendo uma referência na operação de serviços de abastecimento e saneamento no Brasil. “É uma grande plataforma com potencial de se expandir e se tornar de fato uma referência no setor”, diz.

O executivo ressalta ainda que entre seus diferenciais no momento, a Copasa tem valorizado a introdução da inovação, buscando alternativas e novas formas de fazer o saneamento. “O novo marco, por exemplo, nos coloca um desafio muito grande com o saneamento rural, e a Copasa vem buscando investir em novas formas de atuar nessas localidades, em pequenas comunidades, por exemplo, nas quais as formas de se investir e operar são ineficientes. Por isso, a Copasa vem se destacando na busca de uma nova forma de atuar frente aos desafios que o novo marco tem nos imposto”, salienta.

Ele destaca também que a Copasa vem investindo continuamente na busca pelo alcance e cumprimento das exigências que a legislação impõe, principalmente diante dos desafios que estão sendo esperados para os próximos quatro anos. E tal comprometimento está em sintonia com os objetivos do 32º Congresso da ABES. “Esse ambiente é muito propício para compartilharmos as nossas experiências e absorvermos também as experiências de outras pessoas. Sempre é bom para aprendermos e melhorarmos a nossa forma de atuar no saneamento”, conclui.
