ABES-SP presente no 23º Encontro Técnico de Alto Nível da AIDIS sobre a despoluição do Rio Pinheiros

A Associação Interamericana de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – AIDIS, com apoio da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – Seção São Paulo (ABES-SP), promoveu nesta sexta-29 de novembro o 23º Encontro Técnico de Alto Nível – Despoluição do Rio Pinheiros. Realizado no Auditório da SABESP, em Pinheiros, na cidade de São Paulo, o evento reuniu especialistas nacionais e internacionais para abordar as ações do Brasil e em países como Chile e Inglaterra.

A abertura contou com a participação de Roseane Maria Garcia Lopes de Souza, Diretora da ABES-SP e coordenadora das Câmaras Técnicas de Saúde Pública e de Resíduos Sólidos da seção; Edison Airoldi, Diretor de Tecnologia, Empreendimentos e Meio Ambiente da Sabesp, representando o Presidente da empresa, Benedito Braga; Darci Campani, Vice-Presidente da AIDIS e Membro da ABES-RS; Domênico Tremaroli, Diretor da Avaliação de Impacto Ambiental da CETESB, representando da Diretora Presidente, Drª. Patricia Iglecias.

Edison Airoldi iniciou abertura dando as boas-vindas aos presentes e falando sobre os desafios do Novo Rio Pinheiros. “É uma honra participar, vamos buscar o desafio que nos foi colocado. A ação irá ajudar a aplicar em outros rios também”, afirmou.



Darci Campani frisou que a despoluição do Rio Pinheiros interessa não só ao Brasil, mas ao continente Sul-Americano. Para ele, a troca do conhecimento técnico interessa a todos e é o objetivo da AIDIS. Ele finalizou agradecendo aos patrocinadores e apoiadores, além de convidar o público para o Congresso AIDIS 2020. “Teremos a apresentação de cases nacionais e internacionais com o objetivo de promover a troca de conhecimento técnico de todo continente Latino-americano. Agradeço pela parceria com a Sabesp, que também atua no Comitê de Gravataí, da Corsan, para tratar o esgoto. Agradeço aos patrocinadores aQuamec e aLBriggs e aos apoiadores AESabesp, CETESB, ASEC, Hidroplan e ABES. Convido todos para o Congresso AIDIS, que será realizado em outubro de 2020, na cidade de Buenos Aires, na Argentina”, ressaltou.

A engenheira Roseane Garcia destacou que a temática do evento é importantíssima para o setor de saneamento. “O evento traz uma discussão importante com conferencistas internacionais que irão trazer as suas experiências para a plateia. O público é formado por universidades, estudantes e empresas do setor. Parabenizo à AIDIS e à ABES pela organização do 23° Encontro Técnico”, afirmou a diretora da ABES-SP.

Domênico Tremaroli avaliou o tema com boas expectativas e pontuou o avanço do saneamento na Região Metropolitana de São Paulo. “Há uma expectativa da população para que seja implantada a infraestrutura para a despoluição dos rios da Região Metropolitana, em especial o Rio Pinheiros. O Estado de São Paulo tem avançado na recuperação das águas das bacias hidrográficas de Capivari, Piracicaba e Jundiaí. O projeto permite perspectivas concretas, as obras, as medidas e a infraestrutura já estão consolidadas. A Drª. Patricia Iglecias não pôde vir devido à um compromisso com o governador, mas a CETESB irá esclarecer o seu papel no projeto”, encerrou Tremaroli.

Airoldi afirmou que o evento é uma oportunidade para a Sabesp apresentar o trabalho que vem sendo feito, quais são as ações e desafios do projeto. Para ele, um dos desafios é o tratamento nas chamadas áreas informais, que devem ter unidades de recuperação da qualidade da água. De modo que os esgotos retirados sejam levados para estações de tratamento e as unidades levem à foz de cada contribuinte do Rio Pinheiros uma qualidade de água, cuja demanda bioquímica de oxigênio seja menor que 3 pela experiência da Sabesp no Programa Córrego Limpo. “A qualidade do Rio Pinheiros vai ser muito melhor com a somatória de todos esses tributários”, afirmou

O Diretor da Sabesp ressaltou que as ações de saneamento são necessárias e outro ponto que deve ser destacado é a participação da sociedade, das pessoas, das famílias conectando as suas residências às redes e da população como um todo acreditando no projeto: “A sociedade deve pensar que também tem responsabilidade no projeto que traz benefícios para todos”, reforçou.

Para finalizar, Airoldi parabenizou entidades parceiras que contribuíram na realização do evento. “Quanto mais tivermos comunicando isso para setores articulados da sociedade, como é o caso da AIDIS, da ABES e de outros participantes representa a oportunidade de disseminação para a sociedade de tudo aquilo que tem sido feito”, finalizou.

Luiz Augusto de Lima Pontes, ex-presidente da AIDIS, explicou que o evento é interessante por mostrar um modelo diferente de como abordar um processo de tratamento sem ter as obras físicas. Tentando contratar os córregos diretamente sem as canalizações necessárias. Incentivando a população a fazer as ligações as redes já existentes. O Professor também discorreu sobre os cases de sucesso de países como Chile e Inglaterra apresentados no 23° Encontro Técnico.

“Apresentamos experiências do Chile e da Inglaterra. O case da cidade de Santiago, no Chile, mostrou que 100% de água potável atende a população, 100% do esgoto é coletado e 100% é tratado, pela empresa Águas Andinas. O case da Inglaterra, apresenta a despoluição do rio Tâmisa, na cidade de Londres. A população precisa se conscientizar para não jogar lixo nos rios, isso também é trabalhado pela AIDIS”, concluiu Lima Pontes.

Além da conferência sobre a Despoluição do Rio Pinheiros, os outros temas e cases apresentados no evento foram: “Inovação tecnológica em Processos de ETEs modulares e compactas”, com José Alfredo Mattio/Sonia Mucciolo (AQUAMEC); “Conferência sobre Ações adotadas pela CETESB para a despoluição do Rio Pinheiros”, com Domênico Tremaroli (CETESB); “Conferência sobre “Mapocho Urbano Limpio”, Caso da cidade de Santiago”, com Cristian Schwerter (Gerente de Engenharia da Águas Andinas, Chile); “Considerações sobre Despoluição do Rio Tâmisa”, com Emma Harrington (THAMES21, Inglaterra); e “Repensar a Cidade, o Território e Suas Águas”, com Stela Goldenstein (Consultora do Banco Mundial, Brasil).
