O diretor nacional da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES para a Região Nordeste, Josivan Cardoso, deixou, nesta quarta, 12 de dezembro, a presidência do IGARN – Instituto de Gestão das Águas do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte para assumir a URBANA – Companhia de Serviços Urbanos de Natal.

Aos amigos,

Foi uma grande honra ter contribuído com a Gestão das Águas durante estes últimos quatro anos no Governo do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte.  Foram lutas, aprendizados e muita dedicação. Para manter os sistemas de água em funcionamento (seja para usos prioritários ou para múltiplos) dentro de uma seca tão severa no semiárido, realizamos uma continua articulação com os Órgãos do sistema, os usuários e os comitês de bacias hidrográficas, o que tentamos fazer da melhor forma possível à frente do IGARN.
Durante este período, o Instituto cresceu tanto em estrutura, quanto no conhecimento e conceito perante a sociedade.
Sinto-me gratificado pela a confiança deposita. Posso não ter conseguido tudo o que almejei, mas o que foi possível alcançar, foi fruto de união, esforço e amor de todos os amigos e colaboradores do IGARN.
Obrigado a todos os que compõem a gestão dos recursos hídricos estaduais e que nos ajudaram realizando um trabalho conjunto que mostrou resultados satisfatórios, perante as dificuldades ocasionadas pelo longo período de estiagem.

Agora irei trilhar caminhos na gestão dos resíduos e rejeitos (como define a Lei). O manejo de resíduos sólidos e a limpeza urbana devem ser garantidos à sociedade. É necessário que colaboremos nos esforços de manter o ambiente saudável para todos viverem.
Sobre a URBANA, onde será meu ambiente de trabalho, lá já fui estagiário, supervisor, chefe de setor, diretor… Agora voltarei à empresa como Presidente. Isso me faz crescer e me orgulha, pois conheço muitos dos colaboradores da URBANA, pelos quais tenho muito carinho e admiração pelo empenho no trabalho. Tal dedicação será fundamental para que se estabeleçam os procedimentos técnicos necessários para fazer de Natal uma cidade melhor e mais saudável para viver.
Por fim, em especial agradeço ao Governador Robinson por acreditar que gestões técnicas dão a sociedade o resultado estruturante para uma vida melhor!
