JPS-SP: Núcleo Limeira promove na Unicamp palestra para conscientizar sobre impactos das bitucas de cigarro no meio ambiente

“Em relação aos outros tipos de lixo, a bituca parece inofensiva quando lançada nas ruas e nas águas, passando despercebida pela maioria das pessoas, inclusive por mim”. Quem diz é a estudante de Engenharia de Manufatura, Pâmela Pachiani, de 23 anos, que esteve presente na palestra “A problemática da ponta do cigarro em nosso meio ambiente”, promovida nesta terça, 17 de abril, pelo Núcleo Limeira do Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES-SP (JPS-SP), coordenado por Beatriz Couto Ribeiro.

A palestra aconteceu na Faculdade de Tecnologia da Universidade Estadual de Campinas – Unicamp e foi ministrada por Natália Zafra Goettlicher, co-fundadora do projeto “Mundo sem Bitucas”.

 

“Fui convidada para falar sobre a problemática das pontas de cigarro no meio ambiente para os universitários da Faculdade de Tecnologia, como uma forma de conscientizá-los a não jogar as bitucas no chão e mostrar em números a atual realidade deste micro lixo”, frisa Natália.

Pâmela era uma dessas pessoas que realmente não tinha noção do impacto das bitucas no meio ambiente. Mas agora, segundo ela, está bem ciente de que o descarte incorreto deste lixo pode contribuir entupimentos de bueiros, enchentes, queimadas, além de contaminar animais e água. “O maior problema é a falta de conscientização das pessoas, além da ausência de recipientes corretos para descarte destas bitucas”, reforça. “O [projeto] Mundo sem Bitucas” vem justamente para tentar conscientizar fumantes e não fumantes e construir porta-bitucas por meio de reaproveitamento de embalagens”, completa a futura engenheira.
