Inscrições para novas turmas estão abertas

A UNIABES, a maior plataforma EAD do Brasil de cursos para o saneamento ambiental, está formando novas turmas em 8 cursos. Nesta entrevista, Mário Augusto Bággio, coordenador da Regional Sul da Câmara Temática de Gestão de Perdas da ABES e sócio gerente da Water Database Saneamento Básico – WDB, empresa de atuação reconhecida e parceira da ABES em oito cursos, faz um balanço das turmas anteriores. Baggio explica também, entre outros pontos, como os cursos têm contribuído para o avanço do setor de saneamento no Brasil. Leia a seguir:

Mário Augusto Bággio – “Sem saber que era impossível, fomos lá e fizemos”. Esta frase, de um autor anônimo, poderia muito bem ser associada à vontade da ABES, na pessoa de seu presidente, o engenheiro Roberval Tavares de Souza, e de toda sua Diretoria, que não mediram esforços na criação da UNIABES, entidade da maior importância na formação profissional do sanitarista brasileiro, trazendo muita tecnologia já nos seus primeiros dias.

Nascia assim o maior programa de educação a distância, complementar à educação presencial que a ABES vinha fazendo há mais de 5 décadas de existência.

De uma meta de 750 treinandos em 2017, mais de 500 passaram pelos 10 cursos, a maioria deles com conteúdos inéditos  – disponibilizados, em modernas plataformas de ensino, aos operadores brasileiros, públicos e privados, pequenos e grandes, autárquicos e concessionárias.

Cinco grandes turmas foram abertas, praticamente uma a cada mês durante o ano de 2017, turmas essas de qualquer tamanho, haja vista a estratégia de educação de adultos adotada pela UNIABES. Para cada turma, tutores e autores, a serviço do treinando sanitarista brasileiro, foco principal da UNIABES, à luz do planejamento estratégico da atual diretoria da ABES.

ABES Notícias – Como os cursos da UNIABES têm contribuído para a melhoria do setor de saneamento, agora que o tema está cada vez mais em evidência no Brasil?

Mário Augusto Bággio – O conteúdo dos cursos, poderiam ter sido definidos aleatoriamente, sem muita consulta ao setor. Aproveitando suas Câmaras Temáticas, a ABES as consultou, resultado em 10 conteúdos, da maior importância ao sanitarista brasileiro. Quatro cursos foram direcionados em apoio à solução de problema de perdas de água, haja vista a destruição de valor que as perdas tem proporcionado ao saneamento brasileiro, aumentando custos, reduzindo receitas, ingredientes anti-sustentabilidade. Três cursos foram concebidos para melhoria de projetos, obras, operação e manutenção de sistemas de esgotos sanitários, sistemas esses ainda requerendo de profissionais competentes, para que os serviços de esgotos tenham um padrão próximo ao dos serviços de abastecimento de água. Dois cursos, com foco na operação de sistemas de abastecimento de água, trouxeram à tona, a imperiosa necessidade de bem operar sistemas, aprendendo-se que bem operar não significa apenas não ter falta d’água; operar bem, é sim abastecimento com qualidade, porém devendo-se considerar os princípios da sustentabilidade, ponderando-se entre o social, o econômico e o ambiental. Por fim, aproveitando-se a experiência da ABES e do BID [Convênio ABES/BID para um curso EAD de Regulação no Saneamento] , de 2016, viabilizou-se o curso sobre regulação, apostando-se na imperiosa necessidade desse relevante processo, cumprindo-se a lei 11.445, e, fundamentalmente, salvaguardando-se os interesses de todas as partes interessadas.

ABES Notícias – Como os cursos impactam diretamente nas carreiras dos profissionais?

Mário Augusto Bággio – Em início de século, muitos operadores ainda sofrem por não contar com todos os elementos da boa operação de sistemas de água e de esgotos. A partir do programa disponibilizado em 2017, ampliado para 2018, o sanitarista brasileiro encontrará no programa de capacitação da UNIABES, respostas de renomados autores, dirimindo dúvidas sobre planejamento, execução e controle da operação de sistemas.

Como formular uma estratégia de combate às perdas, associado a um adequado processo de execução, ponto fraco dos profissionais do setor, que muito sabem sobre o combate às perdas, mas muitas vezes, perdendo-se na implementação da estratégia.

Novas formas de tratar esgotos, coincidente com lançamento de novos livros, também foram disponibilizados ao sanitarista brasileiro, e até de outros países vizinhos.

A UNIABES abre caminho para gerar valor ao profissional de saneamento, agregando-lhe novas competências que, indubitavelmente, proporcionarão benefícios aos operadores brasileiros e, em última instancia, aos consumidores brasileiros, para quem a UNIABES envida seus maiores esforços.

Mário Augusto Bággio – Considerando que o profissional do saneamento brasileiro foi forjado no século passado, com ênfase em projetos e obras, a UNIABES, com visão de futuro, trouxe à tona grandes novidades, entre elas como bem operar os sistemas. A ideia central busca a racionalização no uso de nossos escassos mananciais, partindo-se de estratégias conservacionistas e modernas, repletas de boas tecnologias, sistemas e processos bem redesenhados, dando a esse profissional, que tanto se dedica ao saneamento básico, modernas práticas de gestão, novas competências, acreditando-se que homem e tecnologia tem de caminhar harmonicamente.

E o mercado, a quem a UNIABES está sempre a serviço, pode esperar muitas novidades em 2018, quando buscam-se novos segmentos-alvo e novos conteúdos que os satisfaçam. na esteira do ano que ora se inicia, novos temas estarão sendo brindados ao setor de saneamento, notadamente novos cursos sobre “contratos de performance”, novas práticas de gestão trazidas pelo PNQS, entre outras novidades, acreditando-se que o impossível tarda para ser viabilizado, mas a diretoria da abes sempre o almeja, comenta Roberval Tavares de Souza.
